Hannover 96 - FC Bayern
As this match was on a Sunday FCBWW member Andy came to visit me in Mainz on Saturday and experience the cultural highlights of Mainz. To keep it simple: It was Legen - wait for it - dary!!
After a short night we made our way to another part of Mainz where we met our driver for this day. He is also a Bayern fan and some of you would maybe recognise him from seeing him with a megaphone on the fence On our way to Hannover we picked up two more Bayern fans, all three of them have been Ultras for more than 15 years now. So it was really interessting to listen to their stories from a time i was still shitting my pants We arrived in Hannover about 2 hours till kick-off and went straight to the Bus to meet the people from Munich. Even though it was a Sunday match there was still a good mob. Beside the colour of the seats i really liked the Niedersachsenstadion, as it was close to the city with a nice view from the guest sector. The only thing that really got me angry were the fussy entrance controls. I never experienced such a stupid control where i even had to turn on my phone to show them that i wont throw it
The guest section was packed and we all had some nice chats so time flew by. All in all we were 5 FCBWW members from 2 different countries, not too bad for a match on Sunday at 5:30. The intro included loads of small red-white flags which looked quite cool in my eyes. The tifo was really good, people were motivated and the chants were loud and long. After a short but strong beginning from Hannover our players got the match under their control and demonstrated their current strenght. Nice to see that Guardiola let Tom Starke play the whole match, i just like him more than this other guy from that ugly city near Bochum
When talking about Hannover you also have to talk about Martin Kind. He is the CEO of the KIND Group which sells hearing-aid. Since 1997 this W***** is the president of Hannover 96 and managed to get them back to Bundesliga with his money. As this would already be a point to not like him, he also is the biggest enemy of the 50+1 rule and he will try to abolish this neccessary rule. He also called Hannover fans "a bunch of assholes" and said that before he started being the President, Hannover 96 "has been a shitty club" even though they already had won the Championship twice and the cup in their history!
Lets be honest: if Martin Kind would be President in München, there wouldnt be a Südkurve. The only reason there are still active fans and Ultras in Hannover is that there wouldnt be enough customers to fill their seats.
Anyway we won the match, had a good tifo and a relaxed way home.
