Borussia Dortmund - Bayern (DFB finale)

I see nobody has posted a match report yet, so I will. My story is a little different than the others too I think.

The trip began with me waiting in Mainz for Henrik to pick me up in his car so we could get the the rendezvous point for the Sektion Hessen bus. I had my headphones on and was waiting for a text from Henrik when all of a sudden, I was surrounded and being grabbed by people who were yelling as well. When I could figure out what was going on (note, I was waiting across the street from a strip club, so you never know who could be assaulting you!) it was Henrik with Andy and Julien plus the Saarländer playing a little trick on me.

Suffice to say I was awake then, and we drove the hour to the bus. It was a nice bus, if a little bit cramped. Around 10:30 we met the others at Spandau and went to the Olympiastadion to help with the choreo. As all of you either saw on tv or in the stadium, it was fairly simple with most of the artistic stuff having been done in Munich already, so it was an easy and quick set-up.

At this point, Tom and I went to go do an interview for my podcast with Paul Kalkbrenner, a DJ, artist, and Bayern fan. He was really, really cool and took pictures with us and our FCBWW schals.

Everyone without a ticket, which I think was everyone but Marc, got into the stadium somehow. I didn't really try to because one of my best friends in Berlin wanted me to watch with him in a Greek restaurant his cousin owns. As soon as Müller scored the 2-0 though, I was on the next S5 to Olympiastadion and was in the stadium for the trophy lift. Eventually I found everyone else again and we had a group picture and went our separate ways to the Sonderzug or back to the bus.

I think what the group's FB status said after the match is correct; everyone was happy but tired. Tired from a long day, tired from a long season. Within an hour, almost everyone was asleep on the bus.
