On Monday & Tuesday last week, there was a big meeting at Allianz Arena called 'Leadership Summit', where Bayern bosses spoke in front of around 120 employees to discuss the current state of the club. Uli Hoeneß gave a speech where he praised Vincent Kompany and criticized his predecessor Thomas Tuchel harshly.
Hoeneß is said to have said that Tuchel was a 'catastrophe' for the club - the 'entertainment value' was completely lost due to his style of football, which annoyed the honorary president. In addition, there were problems in the atmosphere within the team. After he criticized Tuchel, Hoeneß heaped praises on Kompany, who had already impressed him from their first meeting where the coach said: 'We have to work hard again'.
For Hoeneß, Bayern is also a 'showbusiness', and the entertainment is being provided by Kompany's style of play. Hoeneß is totally convinced of the path the Belgian coach is taking at Bayern. Hoeneß was therefore also annoyed that Kompany's style was being questioned after the last 3 winless games. 'FC Bayern cannot always win the Champions League', he explained and criticized the media that sees Bayern too critically from his point of view.[@altobelli13, @SPORTBILD]
Uli Hoeneß: "In my opinion, Vincent Kompany is - and that cannot be said for sure after a few weeks - a godsend for Bayern Munich. He's someone who has played football at a high level himself. He also has a great character in my opinion and sees football as work. He wants to make the individual players better, and that's what he's working on. Sometimes they train for two hours until they're tired
So far I can only say good things. We've had six games, four of which were away games, and we are top of the table. The 3-3 in Frankfurt has nothing to do with Vincent Kompany's aggressive style of play, but rather with us playing a one-two on the halfway line in the 93rd minute. Katsche [Schwarzenbeck] would have sent the ball over the roof
The nice thing is that we're playing well, he [Kompany] is playing entertaining football. Since he's been there, I've really enjoyed going to the stadium again. It's entertainment. We are all football fans. If you were in the stadium in Frankfurt and watched the game, you say: 'Wow!' And that's what matters, that's what we stand for'"[@kicker]

Talks between Leroy Sané and Bayern have been less intense as he was out injured. Sané would like to stay but Bayern have to offer him a contract that he’s willing to accept. He’s on €20m a year. If they don’t make him such a good offer as their last one, he will be open to hearing proposals from other clubs. Newcastle United are interested but they’re not, at the moment, a club which is interesting for him.[@cfbayern via @caughtoffside]

To je zabranjeno, nečuveno, katastrofa!
